Drone 3D laser scanning combines drone-mounted sensors with laser scanning technology to create highly accurate, three-dimensional models of structures and landscapes. Our drone 3D laser scans exploit the very latest in scanning tech. Drones equipped with LiDAR sensors are used to capture spatial data from above. LiDAR sensors emit laser pulses and measure the time it takes for the light to return, allowing for precise distance measurements. The LiDAR sensor collects millions of data points, creating a "point cloud" – a collection of 3D coordinates that represent the scanned environment.

We process the raw data from the LiDAR sensor using specialised software to create a 3D model. We then use this model for any of a number of purposes, depending on our client’s requirements, such as creating accurate as-built documentation, performing volume calculations, or conducting structural inspections.
